Full Description

NC86SW 11 8036 6160.

At NC 8036 6160 on high ground overlooking a steep stream gully, is a hut circle. It is 11.5m by 11.0m internally; the peat silted, rubble wall stands on average 0.3m high and has a main spread 2.0-2.5m broad
expanding to 3.0m in the sides of a slightly clubbed entrance from the
SSE on the line of the longer axis.
A stony mound 22.0m WSW of the hut may indicate associated field clearance.
Beside this mound is the oval footing, 5.0 by 4.0m, of a shieling; above in the nearby slope is a circular depression, 3.0m diameter and 0.5m deep, apparently scooped out.
Surveyed at 1/10.000.
