Full Description

A hut circle near the Allt Ruadh.

At NC 8043 6243 in W-facing rising ground is a hut circle. There are no decisive signs of associated cultivation but the general vicinity is stone free and smooth cropped. The hut, earth covered, is set slightly into the slope and is 9.0m by 7.5m internally; the wall, at best 0.5m high, has a main spread of 2.0m increasing to 3.0m in the clubbed south side of the entrance in the S W on the line of the longer axis. Some facing slabs are evident in the exterior of the hut wall.
