(Centred NC 961 174) Enclosures (NR) (Three shown A - C).
OS 6" map, (1964)

Three hut circles were located during field investigation.
Visited by OS (W D J) 17 May 1960.

On a gentle N-facing hillslope in open moorland is a settlement of three heather-covered hut circles (A-C) within a minor field system. The huts display similar characterisitics, though heavily obscured by peat build-up. Hut A is 9.5 m internal diameter; B and C are oval, each measuring 9.5 m E-W by 8.5m internally. The walls are spread to 2.5 m, but broaden to 3.5 m at the entrance, in each case in the E arc. The entrance to B appears to be clubbed, and that to C has been destroyed. The minor field system comprises several widely-scattered stone clearance heaps, but no plots are discernible.
Revised at 1/10,000.
Visited by OS (N K B) 21 May 1976.
