Full Description

NC90NW 16 916 074.
Three enclosures shown but not annotated. OS 25"map, (1970)

On fairly level ground within an area of later cultivation is a settlement of three stone-walled huts ('A' - 'C').
'A' and 'B' are circular and measure approximately 12m and 8m in diameter within a wall spread to 4.5m maximum breadth. Occasional facing stones on edge are discernible.
'C' is oval about 14.5m NW - SE by 12m within a wall less massive than 'A' or 'B'.
In each hut entrance is in SE.
There are some stone clearance heaps nearby which are probably contemporary, but these occur amidst field clearance associated with an 18th/19th century depopulated hamlet and no field pattern is evident.
Re-surveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (J B) 8 December 1975.
