Full Description

NC91NE 50 988 197.

At NC 9886 1979 and NC 9877 1973 are two oval stone-walled hut circles, A and B respectively, in association with a minor field system, the last evidenced by a half dozen or so field clearance mounds in the vicinity of hut 'B'; there are no plots visible. The general situation is rising moorland open to the SE.
'A', reduced and peat-obscured, is 10.5m NW-SE by 9.0m inside a wall indicating a width of 1.5m in the entrance arc, in the SE, but elsewhere indeterminate.
'B', impressing most by its levelled build-up on the slope, is 10.0m NW-SE by 8.5m internally; an entrance is from the SE. The wall in the N half, reduced and peat-covered, is spread to 2.5m but elsewhere is practically depleted to interior level.
Surveyed at 1:10,560.
Visited by OS (J M) 6 October 1976.
