Full Description

(A : NC 9527 1930, B : NC 9526 1924) Enclosures (NR).
OS 6"map, (1964)

Two hut circles (A and B) found during field work.
Visited by OS (W D J) 12 May 1960.

The two huts are situated in rising moorland open to the E, and are peat overgrown. They are of a similar type; both have a simple entrance gap from the SE but in the case of hut A somewhat obscured by disturbance and depletion.
'A' measures about 9.0m NW-SE by 7.5m within a reduced wall of indeterminate width.
'B', much the better preserved, is slightly levelled out of the slope in the NW arc; it is approximately 9.5m diameter inside a wall now spread to 2.0m.
Contemporary cultivation is noted by a scattering of stone clearance heaps nearby, but no plots are discernible.
Revised at 1/10,000.
Visited by OS (J M) 21 April 1976.
