Full Description

Kilmote Farm steading built around 1815, but one storey and garret house, with front projecting bay and rear wing, probably pre-dates this, originating as a tacksman's house.

Kilmote Steading

This 'E'- plan group consists of a hay barn in the central range with a threshing barn behind, and the site of a waterwheel visible in the back (N) wall. there is a stable with a hay loft in the W range and a single storey cow byre to the E. On the N side, there are partly open shelter sheds either side of the barn. The buildings were derelict and partly ruinous on the date of survey.
