Description

An archaeological desktop exercise and walkover survey was carried out by S Farrell in July 2004 for the Beauly West Water Mains Renewal Project on behalf of Halcrow Group Ltd. A number or previously unrecorded archaeological sites relating to prehistoric and a post-medieval landscapes were found. Recommendations were made in relation to proposed route sites to be marked off prior to construction work and the need for some monitoring work in the area of a prehistoric field system. <1>
