EHG2780 - Desk-based assessment - Shieldaig Water Main Renewal
Technique(s)
Organisation
Highland Archaeology Services Ltd
Date
January 2008
Description
A desk based assessment was conducted to establish as far as possible the nature and extent of any archaeology likely to be affected by the construction of a new water main at Shieldaig and Badachro in Wester Ross, Scotland. Although no sites are recorded on the public records as affected by the line there is considered to be a potential for archaeology along this line south of Shieldaig and Cammassie Wood. A walk-over survey of the line is therefore recommended where it diverges from the modern road. <1>
