Date

Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2008 of a short linear alignment of boulders which had been recorded during a walkover survey (see EHG3060) in advance of the proposed Fairburn Windfarm. The feature lay within the limits of a proposed borrow pit. The evaluation comprised two machine-excavated linear trenches, each measuring 20m by 2m, centred on and perpendicular to the linear feature. No archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were recorded. <1>
