EHG3115 - Watching brief north west of Fortanach House, Shandwick
Technique(s)
Organisation
Catherine Dagg
Date
October 2009
Description
A watching brief took place during site stripping for a new house following an earlier evaluation by trial trenching. The site lies close to the location of a number of cist burials report in 1945. No archaeological features or finds were uncovered. It is considered unlikely that any cists would be deeper than the level exposed by topsoild stripping so it is concluded that no cists are present within the development area. <1>
