EHG3251 - Geophysical survey, Slackbuie, Inverness

Technique(s)

Organisation

Orkney College Geophysical Unit

Date

July 2009

Description

Gradiometer (magnetometer) survey was undertaken across an area where a ring ditch and pit group had been recorded from aerial photography. In spite of the limited area available for survey, and the high level of ferrous disturbance across the site, the survey appears to have located the features identified previously from aerial photography. A weaker internal ditch is also postulated. <1>
