Description

Archaeological evaluation, consisting of 7 trial trenches was undertaken across the Scheduled Area of a pit group and ring ditch, in June 2010. A number of archaeological features were recorded in 2 out of 7 trenches excavated, forming a small distinct area close to the cropmark of the ring-ditch. The features revealed likely relate to form at least 3 phases of use and are comprised of a series of post-holes for some kind of structures, possibly domestic. <1><2>
