Description

A walkover survey, following a desk-based assessment, was undertaken on an area of approximately 100 hectares around Gilbert's Hill, Carrol, near Brora in East Sutherland, in December 2009, on behalf of Scottish Woodlands Ltd. The aim was to establish the extent of archaeolgical remains to determine the viability of planting trees. 8 newly identified archaeological features were recorded. <1>
