Description

An archaeological assessment and walk-over survey was carried out by Highland Archaeology Services in 2007 in advance of construction of an overhead power line to a new house at Rhinamain, Bonar Bridge, Sutherland. The area to be crossed by the new line was found to contain a large number of cairns and mounds, of which 13 were flagged on the ground to identify them for protection during construction work. A watching brief was also recommended to identify and record any features or finds of archaeological importance that might be discovered during the work. <1>
