EHG3461 - Excavation at Conon Bridge School, Conon Bridge

Technique(s)

Organisation

Stuart Farrell

Date

January 2011

Description

An archaeological excavation was conducted as part of a project for a new school with associated access and services. This work followed an archaeological evaluation which revealed a number of archaeological features of interest. Two areas were excavated, one of which produced a group of features of possible prehistoric date, whilst the second area produced a number of post-holes relating to agricultural fencing. <1> Post-excavation work including radiocarbon dating indicates that the features on this site range in the date from the Neolithic through to the post-medieval period. Individual records have yet to be created but see the linked report for further details. <2>
