Date

May 2011

Description

A watching brief was undertaken during site clearance for a compound, access road and turbine house as part of a hydro-electric scheme at Balnacarn, Glen Moriston. No features of archaeological significance were found apart from a single, stone lined drain. Due to the presence of an apparent mill lade the buildings and cleared areas were examined for possible evidence of a waterwheel or related features but none was found. <1>
