Technique(s)
Organisation

Date
March 2011
Description
An archaeological watching brief was maintained by Highland Archaeology Services in 2011 on excavations for underground cables at Littleferry, Golspie, Sutherland. The trench was approximately 300mm wide and 750mm deep throughout. In a few places spreads of industrial waste were observed, including re-deposited slate rubble, lime and coal waste. One feature was identified: two parallel lines of stones appeared to indicate the presence of a former building. However this could not be investigated in any detail within the confines of the cable trench. <1>
