Description

An archaeological excavation was conducted to preserve by record archaeological features uncovered during earlier phases of work on the new Beechwood Campus. The work was commissioned by Highlands & Islands Enterprise. The excavation revealed numerous settlement features of archaeological significance including several Bronze Age / Iron Age roundhouses and enclosure structures local across the development area, together with evidence of Neolithic settlement in the northern part of the development area.
