Description

A walkover survey was conducted over a parcel of ground proposed for afforestation, Auchinduich, Sutherland. The programme of archaeological work was carried out on behalf of Mark Seed. Fifty-four features of archaeological or historical significance were identified and recorded. The sites date from the Bronze Age through to the 19th century and comprise hut circles, banks and walls, circular stone and earthen structures, rectangular stone and earthen structures and clearance cairns. <1>
