Description

A walkover survey was conducted over a parcel of land around Choire Nam Muc, Sallachan, Lochaber, in advance of the proposed construction of a hydropower scheme. The programme of archaeological work was commissioned by Adrian Laycock Ltd. Seven features were recorded within the general confines of the scheme and these comprised a stone wall, cultivation remains (clearance cairns and lazy beds), a structure and various enclosures. Only the stone wall (Site 1) is shown on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey Map (Sheet Argyllshire XXIX 1875). <1>
