Full Description
An archaeological walkover survey was undertaken by Wordsworth Archaeological Services in 1996 at Claggersnich Farm, Cromdale.
This part of the dyke is better preserved than the area to the west, though this partly because it is obscured by heavy heather growth. There is an extension of the east wall southwards to the Allt Mhic Neacail to form a second much smaller enclosure. This lies outside the managed area but is integral with site 5 in forming part of an enclosure. It is currently used for grazing by animals from Claggersnich as there is no boundary fence here. This area has been badly disturbed by the insertion of a modern estate road and the upcast from this deforms the shape of the enclosure. <1>
