Full Description
A survey of the archaeological and historic features was undertaken within Abernethy Forest Reserve for the RSPB in 1995.
The rubble remains of a rectangular building or field clearance heap were found here, standing to 0.7m and partially obscured by fallen birch trees. The feature measures 10.9m E/W and 3.57m N/S. It is indistinct to the south, but there are defined edges to the north and east where the stones are faced. The structure is on the edge of a probable old field system in the birch wood. <1>
