Full Description

An archaeological walkover survey was undertaken by Wordsworth Archaeological Services in 1996 at Claggersnich Farm, Cromdale.

Five shapeless stone dumps were seen here that would appear to mark an unnamed settlement. It was not possible to define the sizes of the buildings and it remains unclear when and why they were built. No settlement is recorded here on the earlier maps. See Fig 16(i) <1>
