Full Description
An archaeological survey at Rothiemurchas was undertaken by Dr T C Welsh in 1993.
On an eminence below Creagan a' Mhuilinn, 40 m NE of boundary wall enclosing Ord Ban, at about 340m O.D. is another variant of the preceding sites (fig 8d). Here the central component is a mound 13 m diameter, 1m high, with a building platform on SW 8m wide projecting 4 to 5 m, contained in a rough circuit of rubble wall 27 m overall diameter up to 10 m from the mound on ESE. Projecting from this wall on the west is a 4m square structure with internal dimension 3 x 0.5 m E-W. <1>
