Full Description

Recorded as a structure by Dr Thomas C. Welsh in 1993.

North of The Croft, a dun-like rectangular enclosure (fig 6b) may be related to the aforementioned complex, (see MHG21082 and MHG21073) being about 150 metres east. It is based on a natural ridge ending in a rocky knoll, supplemented by a rubble wall 4 to 5 m thick to enclose a space 15m x 6 m floor. It appears to have been entered at the north end, and there are structures on the knoll at the south end. On east and south is a marshy area, and the ground slopes on west, leaving only a narrow approach on north. A little to the east, a squarish knoll with a scooped out area opening east and west may be connected. <1>

The feature is visible on SEPA LiDAR data.<2>
