Full Description
An archaeological survey at Rothiemurchas was undertaken by Dr T C Welsh in 1993.
Just north of the path and west of the outlet stream at Loch Gamnha (fig 8e). The inner enclosure is 18m diameter over 2m wall offset east within an outer sub-oval 36 x 31m overall, overlapping track by as much as 5m on south. Near the west perimeter is an oval structure 5x3m. A square pit has been dug on the perimeter near the path just below this. Within and partly overlapping the inner enclosure are two rectangular terraced foundations 11 x 5 m and 11 x 4m possibly later. <1>
