Full Description
An archaeological survey at Rothiemurchas was undertaken by Dr T C Welsh in 1993.
On low ground between the track leading to the east shore of Loch an Eilein and a small promontory near the north end of the loch. It consists of a circular mound with a partial circuit observed on SW of a wall 2.5 m thick also evident either side of a massive roack incorporated in the edge of the mound on SE. The overall diameter is 15m. Merging with the mound on NW and SW leaving a gap of up to 4m on E is a rough wall up to 3 m thick. <1>
