Full Description
Two barbed and tanged arrowheads from 'Moy, Inverness-shire' are in RMS(NMAS) (Acc Nos AD 568, 569).
NMAS 1892.
Reference to the original notice of donation of these arrowheads makes it clear that they came from Moy, Morayshire - see NJ05NW 80 (HES Canmore link below).
Two leaf-shaped, and two barbed-and-tanged flint arrowheads, 'found in the sandhills at Moy (Moy House: NJ 015 599), in the neighbourhood of Forres' were donated to the Royal Museum of Scotland (RMS, formerly the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS]) in 1860 by Miss Sophia Cumming. Only the two latter, listed as from 'Moy, Inverness-shire', appear in the Catalogue (Accession nos: AD 568, 569).
