Full Description

Two clearance cairns identified during a walkover survey by Alba Archaeology in 1997 prior to proposed improvements to the A836 between Farr and Kirtomy. <1>

An Archaeological excavation was undertaken of two clearance cairns at locations NC 7327 6223, and NC 7330 6223., Which formed component parts of a larger settlement complex at NC 731 623. <2>

The excavation assemblage from the 1999 work by CFA, which comprised three pot sherds, was submitted to Treasure Trove (TT 139/99) and allocated to Inverness Museum. <3> <4>
