Full Description

Shown on 1st edition as 4 buildings, W of rectangular enclosure. Open patches of land in rough woodland. Named. <1>

At least two, possibly three chambered stone buildings bonded with clay mortar were recorded at this location during walkover survey (AM6). Other features related to the farmstead were recorded, including an enclosure (AM7) and field boundaries (AM8 - AM10) comprising the Knocklor farmstead shown on the 1st edition OS 6” map. Much collapsed. A number of boundary dykes were also recorded (AM11 and AM12). <2>
