Cast iron milepost recorded during a walkover survey by J.G Robertson in 1997 for a Woodland Grant Scheme. One of two surviving within the survey area, which mark every mile from Doirlinn to Drimnin. Recorded on the milepost - DRIMNIN 5¾ MILES DORLIN 1 MILE SMITH PATTERSON & CO FOUNDERS BLAYDON. <1>
The milepost, one of seven on the Poor Relief Road, was listed at Category C by Historic Environment Scotland with effect from 26/01/22022. <2>
Note: Listing GIS data appear to place the feature c.13m to the southeast of its position on OS mapping.
