Four enclosures, situated on the lower, SW-facing slope of Cnoc an Tosgaire, were noted during a pre-afforestation survey at Caplich. All four enclosures are depicted on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1967). The two N enclosures at NC 3459 0420 and NC 3465 0405 are much larger than those to the S, at NC 3474 0377 and NC 3472 0377, which lie in an area of dense rushes and were not located during the survey. The enclosures are defined by heather, or grass-covered, sinuous boulder dykes spread to 0.8m in width and standing up to 0.8m in height.
The enclosures are probably associated with the settlement of Touskerry (NC30SW 4) recorded by Roy (1747-55).
