A hut-circle and two groups of small cairns, situated on a spur on the N-facing slope of Creag Phitiulais, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey at Craig Pityoulish and Craiggowrie. Situated in a clearing, the hut-circle comprises a low platform with a low bank on a gentle NE-facing slope and measures about 10m in diameter. It overlooks a group of seven small cairns, ranging in diameter from 7m to 10m and standing up to 0.7m in height, to the NE. A further five small cairns lie to the SW of the hut-circle and other features are likely to survive, obscured by the dense vegetation, in the intervening area.
Visited by T Holden and M Dalland (Headland Archaeology) 25 June 1999.
