Fifteen small cairns, situated on a N-facing slope, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey at Craig Pityoulish and Craiggowrie. The small cairns are spread over a low ridge to the Eof a hut-circle (NH91SW 45). The cairns, which are constructed of large field stones, measure up to 5m in diameter. Several of the cairns appear to have been robbed and at least two may incorporate elements of sub-rectangular structures of earlier or later date.
Visited by T Holden and M Dalland (Headland Archaeology) 25 June 1999.
