Three buildings and two field-banks, situated on the lower N-facing slope of an unnamed hill, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey at Craig Pityoulish and Craiggowrie.
The remains comprise two near parallel banks, set from 12.5m to 27.4m apart, that enclose a semicircular area of ground on the SE of Milton as well as three buildings. The double banks are spread up to 2m in width and stand up to 0.5m in height. A subrectangular enclosure, measuring 25m by 20m with 0.75m wide walls standing up to 0.3m in height, lies between the banks. Two of the three buildings lie above the banks. That immediately above the outer bank, is rectangular and measures 8m by 3m with a wall spread up to 1m in width and standing up to 0.4m in height. The interior appears to be sunken. Further uphill, the second building, which is also rectangular, measures 11m by 5m with walls spread up to 1m in width. Again the interior is sunken. A short stretch of L-shaped bank lies between the buildings. The third building, lying immediately within the inner bank, measures 10m by 5m with 0.8m wide walls standing up to 1m in height.
