Full Description
Twenty-six grass and heather-grown small cairns, spread over an area measuring 200m by 80m on a gentle slope on the WSW flank of Creag Bheag, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey on Balavil Estate, Kingussie. Some of the cairns are elongated in shape and range in size from 4m by 3m to 8m by 4m and stand up to 0.5m in height. Others are circular to subcircular on plan and range from 3m to 9m in diameter and 0.2m to 0.8m in height. <1>
