A World War II battery observation post at South Sutor.

World War II battery observation post situated about 33m NW of the WW II No.2, 6-inch gun-emplacement. It is built of brick and concrete and stands to two levels with access from the rear by a flight of concrete steps. The upper floor retains the sighting pillar for 'fall of shot' plotting, whilst the lower floor is of two compartments. The battery observation tower still retains an external camouflage paint scheme.

A third level may have been an observation post for the Royal Navy. It was accessed by a metal ladder on the exterior of the building. Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 23 July 2013. <1>
