Full Description
During a watching brief on the construction of the new access road and contractor's compound for the Noval Windfarm by J Wordsworth in 1996, the remains of three roundhouses and associated clearance cairns were found. The latter were found to survive on the east side of Cnoc a Leacachan covering an area of c 2ha. <1>
Several of the cairns to the east and southeast of the roundhouses (not recorded in the earlier survey) were noted and recorded during a walkover survey by RoCAS in 2013 in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme. <2>
