Full Description
A survey of the archaeological and historic features was undertaken within Abernethy Forest Reserve for the RSPB in 1995.
A D-shaped kailyard terrace which is 10.5m N/S and 15m E/W, corresponding to the length of the building. The terrace is stone faced on the N and E sides, at the downslope end, and here is 0.65m above natural ground level. Also present on the terrace are the footings of a circular stone structure 4m to the N of the building and 2m in diameter. The building probably stands on an earlier site. <1>
