RCAHMS Architecture Record (held in Edinburgh).
An archaeological survey at Rothiemurchas was undertaken by Dr T C Welsh in 1993.
The kiln by the visitor centre at Loch an Eilein originally had three stoke holes, one blocked, but one large flue. In one of the splayed butresses is a cupboard of keeping lighting tools. On the north side of the top is a platform presumably to assist with loading. Base dimensions approximately 11 x 9m, about 4m high, facade 7m wide and forecourt 4m deep between buttresses. <1>
