A long length of drystone wall and a ditch were recorded here as part of an archaeological evaluation ahead of a road re-alignment in the area. The drystone wall runs alongside the A9, and was constructed in roughly cut and coursed sandstone blocks. It is around 1.2m high and 0.8m wide and has a notable batter towards the top. It stretches for over 300m. The ditch has differing widths but is quite shallow and is lined with cobbles. A foundation trench or ditch associated with a wall-line depicted on an 1812 map was also noted.
