Full Description
A walkover survey in 1999 identified a substantial quarry measuring some 30m long and 4m wide marked by an apparently coppiced oak tree (probably the effect of cutting the oak during quarrying operations). At least three circular depressions were noted within the wood, each measuring c.2m in diameter. These are possibly the remains of charcoal pits but may be holes left by tree-throw. <1>
