Full Description

Barrel-shaped shieling, with grass and moss-covered, thick, linear mounded walls, standing 0.8m high and spread to 1m wide. Reeds are growing within its sunken interior and it measures 8m x 3.5m, with a centrally placed 0.5m wide entrance in its SE side. The longsides of the structure trend 60 degrees. This site is one of a group of shieling huts identified during a walkover survey in April 2009. <1>
