Full Description

A cluster of thirteen pre-clearance shieling huts with one possible house was identified during a walkover survey in April 2009. This, or another cluster to the north, may be the "Shealings of Gruides" marked on Thomson's 1832 map. A later post-clearance sheepfold lies in their midst using the same traditional summer grazing ground. <1>
