Full Description

Lozenge-shaped shieling, with a 5m long, non-interconnecting compartment at its W end. Its thick, linear mounded walls stand 0.4m high and are spread to 1m wide and are covered in moss and reeds. Its internal division consists of moss-covered stones and is 0.5m thick. The structure measures 11m x 3.5m and its longsides trend 070 degrees. This site is one of a group of shieling huts identified during a walkover survey in April 2009. <1>
