Full Description
Two cairns.
a) Small oval cairn measuring 4.3 m NW/SE x 2.7 m, composed of large angular quartzite blocks.
b) 9 m S of (a) is another small, circular cairn, 2.2 m diameter, of similar construction
There are very ephemeral traces of possible field walls around these features.
c) +23 m to the SW, at NC 3774 6785, are the remains of a small oval structure measuring 4.7 m N/S x 3 m. Defined by an intermitten liine of quartzite boulders, mostly flush with the turf, and including an orthostat on the W side. No stones visible on the E side.
Stones have recently been removed from both cairns.
Within small natural bowl, with high dunes to N, low dunes to W and limestone ridge to E.
Traces of an agricultural landscape with associated building sealed beneath low dunes.
