NM 47488 90680
A group of ten shielings huts and a kiln are situated on broken ground below the cliffs on the N coast of Eigg. The huts are up to 5m in length by 2.6m in breadth, with walls up to 1m high and thick. One hut (EIGG01 805) may have two compartments. The kiln measures 2.2m in diameter within a turf bank 1m high. The flue opens to the NW and appears to have been shielded by a short baffle wall. There is a possible loading platform on the SW.
