Around 16 metres to the north-west of the byre and just beyond the small stream, are the degraded remains of the kale yard. This structure is subrectangular in shape and measures 18.0 metres long (E-W axis) by 15.0 metres wide, over stone and turf-built walls of indeterminate thickness. <1>
