Full Description
676 A sheepfold, walls and enclosures centred on NH 1918 5146 at an altitude of 230m and on a south facing slope on the north bank of the Allt Coir a‘ Bhuic was recorded by NOSAS in 2007 as part of the Scotland's Rural Past Projet,. The site comprises a large irregular enclosure, roughly 36m x 15m bordered by a small stream to the S and a ditch to the N. There are 2 smaller structures, one integral to the enclosure and an independent one, now bisected by a modern post and wire fence. All features consist of eroded, low and discontinuous turf walls. To the east there is a large fenced area planted with young trees. <1>
